The Bigger Place is special not only because of its food, but also because of the story behind its existence. Formerly called The Little Place, it was forced to close in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. But after expanding and reopening in 2002, it now has a charming and artistic dining room in addition to the burrito counter.
Although it can be hard to find authentic Mexican food in New York City, The Bigger Place manages to use fresh ingredients to provide some of the best tacos, quesadillas and burritos in the area. But aside from the traditional Mexican favorites, they also have an extensive breakfast and weekend brunch menu. Another great perk of this incredible eatery? Huevos Rancheros—Two fried eggs over corn tortilla, beans, rice (or potato) and homemade chipotle
Carne Asada Fajitas—Steak with sweet bell peppers, onions, rice, guacamole, sour cream and corn tortillas
Tamales Combo—Heavy corn dough served with chicken or veggies with cheese wrapped in a corn husk and steamed to perfection; served with guacamole, salad or rice
Seven Diablos Burrito—Carne asada, onions, peppers, chopped chipotle, beans and mozzarella cheese
Tampico Salad—Romaine lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, red peppers, chicken breast grilled strips and oregano basil dressing
Enchiladas Estilo Oaxaca—Three enchiladas of fish, spinach, tomato and Oaxaca imported cheese with chipotle sauce; served with rice

Wow, what a find! Best Mexican delivery I've ever had. In fact, best Mexican I've had in NY, period. Delivery was quick, the food was top notch in taste and quality, and the price is reasonable. Getting hungry again just thinking about this place.

This place is terrific. Their food, unlike other Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood, is made with some love. For the price I don't think you'll do better. Haven't had it often enough yet to give 5 stars but its on its way!

It's REAL Mexican food. The Mole is the best thing to get here. Also, the FLAN! (sometimes it's grainy and not so good, but when it's smooth it's the best in the city.... mmmmmmmmm! Still worth taking the chance...!

this place used to be good, but the steak tacos have started tasting weird. not sure what they started doing, but they aren't good anymore.

Only sent half an order of guacamole, and the burrito wasn't too kind to my stomach. Not if my stomach or the food is too blame, but I don't think I should order here again. Gave it two stars because I enjoyed the rice.

Awful. The delivery took almost an hour when the estimate was 15-30 minutes. When I called to ask, the person that answered was rude. Of course the food was cold. The portion was small as well and not very tasty.

Never delivered. Called an hour and a half after ordered . They told me the delivery guy just left and it'll be there soon and hung up on me while I was asking him a question. Waited another 30 mins, called back and claimed it was delivered.

I ordered the City Hall - 2 Chicken Enchiladas that were tiny with barely any chicken which would be fine if it didn't taste awful. Would never order from this place again

I moved to NY 2 years from San Diego, CA. I have tried lots of Mexican food here in NY and always been sorely disappointed. When I found this place last week I was overjoyed. Finally, some good Mexican food in NY!! And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I've only tried the burritos so far, but they are absolutely delicious. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, even for someone with high standards on Mexican food.

I keep coming back to this place. i have ordered a few things on the menu and the chorizo dishes are very greasy, but i have to say that the food is very tasty. the chicken quesidillas are great. the only thing that i haven't been pleased with are the soups.

I was really impressed with my first order, and am going back for my second now. I am very picky with my Mexican, I grew up in Houston. So, for whatever it's worth, right now, I say yes to this place!

To reiterate, chicken tamales are great, as are the mole enchiladas. Their rice is fluffy and delectable, like clouds (excuse the stupid simile, I like rice). All around good "place". I'm usually really disappointed with Mexican food in the city, but this restaurant is now definitely on my roster of regular places to order delivery from. Even though it doesn't have that authentic heat that I'm used to, it still delivers on the quality and taste that is difficult to come by in Mexican restaurants, or, eck, the "tex-mex" chains in nyc. Anyway, I have my own nefarious ploys to spice things up. I'm glad that now I can order some decent Mexican food on seamlessweb. Simple, flavorful food, and they're generous too. 5 stars from me. It does the trick.
