Follow the flashing neon signs to Stage Deli for a great New York meal! Stage Deli’s history stretches back to the 1930s, when this famous Times Square area establishment was founded by a Russian immigrant named Max Asnas, who captured the glamour and excitement of Broadway on his menu.

Sandwiches at Stage Deli are named after the stars: Julia Roberts, Joe DiMaggio, Conan O’Brien, and many others. Best known for their enormous, meaty sandwiches, Stage Deli specializes in corned beef and pastrami. Stage Deli's extensive menu also features other Jewish-style deli classics that are hard to find elsewhere, like chopped liver, creamed herring, and kasha varnishkas. All the world’s a stage, and Stage Deli has been keeping everyone tap dancing and fed for over 70 years.

Emeril Lagasse Chef Salad—Turkey, ham, roast beef, American, and Swiss cheese atop traditional greens
Matthew Broderick Triple Decker—Corned beef, turkey, and Swiss cheese
Sandra Bullock Triple Decker—Corned beef, turkey, pastrami, roast beef, and Swiss cheese
Denzel Washington Open Faced Reuben—A choice of corned beef, pastrami, turkey, or salami with hot sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese
Waaaay overpriced for what you get. The roast chicken dinner is nothing special and the gravy that came with the mashed potatos was way too salty.

Extremely bad chocolate cake! HUGE portions, and tasted stale. Will not order again.

Bland, bland, bland. I'll leave this for the tourist and Matinee Day suckers. Carnegie Deli is priced the same, but at least a bit more flavorful, for midtown.

Stage Deli delivers with fierce speed (orders arriving sometimes 10 minutes after being placed), and the quality is as good as mid-town delivery gets. Only downside is they appear to pay insufficient attention to the "special request" section of the order form, often not responding to requests mentioned there.

Food is awesome and portions are huge, but you will pay for the privilege. The potato pancake is really expensive for just one. The sandwiches are the best though - I like them better than Carnegie Deli. Get extra bread - you'll need it.

Stage Deli has amazing sandwiches AND great delivery service. I order from them on a weekly basis and have never had a bad experience.

I love this place! It's a New York classic that always delivers great food right on time. Make sure to try one of the specialty sandwiches. My favorite is the Larry David.

Sandwiches are huge!

While Stage Deli does have very good sandwiches, their delivery is HORRIBLE. I never received my order after waiting for 2 hours, and did not even get an apology from the Manager. Their excuse was that they only had one delivery person. That is ridiculous.
