Sosa Borella was established in 1995 in Tribeca. The first of two locations began as a quaint Italian-Argentinean café that blossomed into a full service restaurant, including lunch, dinner, brunch, delivery service and off premise catering within two years of conception. In 2003, Sosa Borella expanded its recipe for wholesome food, large portions and great dining atmosphere with a personal touch for the palates of Manhattan’s Theater District.

With Sosa's keen sense of design, clean lines give Sosa Borella an inviting open airy feeling the moment you walk through the door. In addition, there is something of the comfort and style of a cozy Argentinean estancia, seen through the white walls, exposed beams and cement color stucco on the columns, along with the custom made dark wood tables, the soft glow of lampshade chandeliers and walls stacked with coffee bags, wines and Argentinean memorabilia.
The dress code at Sosa Borella is "New York" casual, which means you may find Christina Aguilera, J.Lo, Al Pacino, Ed Burns, Helen Hunt, John Turturro, Joaquin Phoenix, James Gandolfini, Kevin Spacey and Sarah Jessica Parker wearing jeans and tee-shirts any day of the week for lunch or dinner. The list does not stop there. If these stars feel comfortable enough to visit Sosa Borella for lunch or dinner with family and friends then I'm sure the rest of the people shouldn't mind stopping by.
Menus range in price from affordable to very affordable. A lunch including a grilled portobello sandwich and a soup will cost about fifteen dollars, while a dinner of grilled succulent filet mignon topped with delicious chimichurri sauce served with mashed potatoes and grilled scallions is just twenty-five dollers. The menu is protein-friendly for those who are following the latest diet trends. Imported meats are grilled to perfection and topped with the traditional chimichurri sauce, while the fresh pastas simply melt in your mouth. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable of wines from the Mendoza Valley of Argentina and may suggest a malbec as opposed to a merlot for the similar body yet long finish.
Sosa Borella is sure to offer you a fine dining experience.

The delivery was 30 to 45 minutes late and the food was soggy and covered in grease and oil even though the dish was supposed to be grilled. Furthermore, their portions were not appropriate for the price that was paid. Absolutely horrible - I will never order from there again.

This has always been a favorite neighborhood restaurant of mine and I was absolutely delighted that the food via home delivery was every bit as good as it is in the restaurant. I'm laid up after a hospitalization so this was a bright spot for me and I intend to order delivery from Sosa until I'm well enough to eat in again. Please keep up the fine quality.

Excellent food, prompt delivery and they give you chocolate chip biscotti with your order, only negative is that they are a little pricey.

Food is good, but dont deliver what you order (check bag), quantity much smaller than in restaurant and too expensive for what you get. Go with Fresh Basil
