I can't believe I spent $9.00 on a frisee salad that only contained 5 frisee leaves, two apple rings that were not fresh and just a sloppy display. The steak was chewy and well done, not medium as I requested. The Polenta was the only dish that I found satisfying. I will not order from them again.

Wow - really bad food this time. I've ordered from Maria Pia before (related restaurant) and had great meals but Roberto Passon is pretty terrible. The balsamic dressing was really just reduced balsamic vinegar. The gnocchi was soaking in what tasted exactly like thick Campbell's tomato soup (the kind from a can). The creme brulee (a special Sunday night treat) wasn't brulee'd - just a sad little tin cup of loose custard. I decided to spare myself the calories and tossed it in the trash. On top of all of this, it took 30 minutes longer than expected to arrive. I'll stick to Maria Pia from now on unless they too have stopped trying.

While not the worst food, its clearly a step below most other Italian places in the neighborhood (Puttanesca, somewhat better. Scarlatto, a good amount better). The Calamari were by far the worst: 0% crispy, 100% soggy. Delivery was awful. Someone decided to put the food plates sideways into the bag. Some food leaked into the bag and all the dishes were stuck at the side of their containers.

I've eaten in the restaurant and ordered takeout several times. The food ranges from good to terrific; the pastas are the highlight for me and the spinach side is also very nice. Delivery times vary, but usually pretty speedy (I am pretty close which i think helps). One minor annoyance is that their delivery people sometimes call from their cell phones before they reach my building, which means I have to hang out in the lobby waiting for them. But aside from that, it's a great place to order from.

The food here is fantastic! I ordered from here twice so far and it is going right into our regular rotation. The fish is fresh and cooked well. The pastas are absolutely delicious. The delivery was faster than expected. I only wish they had a wider menu so that we could order from here more often.

So, let's get some things out of the way. 1) I'm a country boy 2) this country boy has a sophisticated pallet. If I was reviewing a deli, I'd leave it at some high points (promptness, freshness, correct temperature, etc). Given the sophistication of Mr Passon's creation, I will attempt to leave my %#@!-kickers at home and slip on some nice after dinner slippers to review his creations that I just consumed. I ordered the tri-color salad, the onion soup, and the monkfish. It arrived on time (45 minutes) and hot. It was packaged and presented nicely, including a nice piece of peasant bread, for a delivery order. First course for me, the salad. With a tremendous dressing (miso vinaigrette perhaps) bacon, endives, and other greenery, it was simple and sumptuous. "You had me at hello" came to mine. This places knows its salads. Small but on the mark. Second course was a very nice onion soup. Nothing spectacular, but this is comfort food and it was light years away from Liptons (something other high end eateries can't always claim). Last was the monkfish wrapped in prosciutto. Okay, I have to admit this was a bit disappointing....a big fan of Passon, I have to say that I've had better from him. To start off, the dish had a off smell. Not really fishy, just....well...off. It was served as 3 medallions and one of them was undercooked. The sauce was a bit overreaching in my opinion as it tried to do too much and accomplished none of them. Honestly, I couldn't get past the "off" smell as it translated to how it tasted. I ate 2 of the 3 pieces. I was full but wanted some bread, but no butter was served and it was too hard to eat sans lube. Last point; Roberto Passon is not a one $ restaurant. Try $$$ or at least $$. The portions are decent size but al la carte is the name of the game. I dropped around $40. I will certainly return, but the food is best served hot and in person.

The Fettuccine is to die for. The pork tenderloin sauce is heavenly. Fast delivery. Good portion. Love it!

I both have eat in and ordered from this restaurant. In their location the ambiance is very nice and prices are very reasonable for their good food and service, great decor and ambiance. The lamb Shank is great, it is satisfaying both taste and portion wise. I also like their pastas. Their tiramisu is fine but I didn't care for the flourless chocolate cake, maybe it was just a bad day for it. But overall I recommend this restaurant.

This was hands down the best take out that I have ever had. The food was delivered early and was hot and nicely packaged. The food itself was incredibly good. I ordered the mussels and prior to receiving the order, I was a bit skepitcal about how they would hold up. Needless to say, they held up incredibly well. I also ordered the sirlon steak and it was perfectly seasoned and the potatoes and string beans were very tasty. I ordered the apple pie for dessert (this even arrrived warm!) and it was phenomenal. It was almost like an circular apple tart. On the side was fresh cream and some other type of sauce which when poured over the pie made the dessert absolutely heavenly. On top of everything, the restaurant also included four small almond cookies that were absolutely delicious. Dinner tonight was a truly pleasurable experience. Most of the places on Seemless Web are really average when it comes to their takeout (even the expensive places). When you are stuck in the office, working late, it makes a HUGE difference when your "in-office dinner" makes you feel as though you are dining in a restaurant and not simply eating mediocre food out of a plastic container. I definitely plan on visiting this restaurant with my wife. Bravo Roberto Passon!
