South Indian cooks have a unique respect for their profession. Each morning they awaken early, take showers and say a prayer of devotion to all the providers of food before they go to the market to purchase fresh ingredients. They pray for all people to eat well and in peace, no matter what they believe. They spend the rest of the day creating dishes that will bring people together in friendship.
Try some dishes unique to South India. Home style cooking from Udupi means blending lentils in rice or cream of wheat flours to make their famous dosas and idli. Dosas are flat crepes rolled and stuffed with a generous quantity of mild spiced potatoes and vegetables. Idlies are popular steamed cream of wheat or rice flour cake served with plenty of sambar and coconut chutney dipping sauce.
Every dish at Madras Café is made to order from absolutely fresh vegetables. You can ask for any degree of spice or heat from mild to over the top. I ndians have a saying about peppers in food, “first bite it hurts and you cry, second bite doesn’t hurt, third bite it’s the tastiest dish you’ve ever had.”
Sit back, relax and enjoy. Madras Café wants to serve you and suggest items that go together for a combination of tastes, textures and pleasures you’ll remember for a long time.

Quick delivery and delicious food. The mulligatawny soup is amazing and perfectly spiced. The masala dosa is one of the best I've ever had. The highlight is easily the samosa, however -- crisp without being greasy, and the filling is note perfect.
