Opened in October 2006, Kyotofu is New York’s latest Japanese dessert bar serving up traditional Japanese desserts and cocktails with a modern twist. Kyotofu crafts it artful plates using signature Japanese ingredients such as green tea, sesame, white bean creams and homemade tofu prepared fresh daily.
Complementing these dishes is Kyotofu’s extensive cocktail and beverage list that includes a variety of signature shochu cocktails, over thirty kinds of sake including sparkling and aged varieties, wines, champagnes and ten kinds of shochu (a Japanese distilled liquor made from flavors such as rice, wheat, sweet potato, white sesame, wasabi and sugar cane). Also open for lunch and late night dining, Kyotofu is preparing the palate for new levels of refinement one soybean at a time.

Don't eat here if you're starving. Eat here when you want gourmet food and mini portions that satisfy the palate over your gut. Food quality was good and leaned on strong flavors. The deserts are fabulous. They forgot to deliver one for me and sent the delivery guy back ASAP with extra goodies! Thanks!

This place is a terrible value. The portions are miniscule, even for the "(dinner)" dishes. My mushroom salad had 5 sprigs of arugala, 3 straw mushrooms and 1 shaving of cheese. I would not order from here again.

Really excellent, rich desserts. Macaroons are to die for. Chicken and tofu sliders are also delicious.

Truly delightful desserts and more -- a foodie's delight. Though obviously smaller portioned than your local burrito haven, you pay for (and get) quality. Their savory items are great as well -- I love their soy-tofu and mushroom quiche, for instance
