Having been to Kanoyama many times, the delivery order was an altogether different experience. I have to say it was the worst $38 tiny plate of 'omakase sushi' I've ever had. Totally sloppy rolls, mediocre fish (especially the tuna roll, which wasn't even supposed to be in the 'Omakase" plate), and even a full piece of unseasoned eel (i.e. 6" long) over a piece of sushi rice (?). What is going on? Are the devlivery orders prepped by the dishwashers?

I love this restaurant when I've eaten in it, but the take out was mediocre at best. The sushi was kind of warm and didn't taste fresh, and the order took 45 minutes to arrive. Was very disappointed in the meal and thought it was completely overpriced for the quality.

I ordered the chicken terriyaki- which from reading reviews in Zagat, I thought it must be pretty good. While it was advertised as "organic" chicken- for $19 I expect more than dark mystery meat. Needless to say, I will not order from here again. Their sushi might be good, but I won't be finding out.
