I rarely feel the need to review a place, but this was possibly the worst experience I have ever had ordering takeout. I ordered during lunch hour and i understand it is busier than usual during that time, but it took AN HOUR AND A HALF (!) for them to deliver my order. I had to call 3 times to see if it was coming or not. the gentleman who answered the phone kindly did add a soda to my order free of charge for my trouble, but an hour and a half wait was ridiculous. He had even told me they were "too busy" to deliver my order. What precisely is that? I had ordered the kielbasa sandhich, the pierogies and german chocolate cake. The sandwich was fine, but the perogies were definitely not what I recall ordering before. From what I know, pierogies are usually filled with potato. This seemed to be filled with some sort of ground meat, which seemed more like a wonton. They were disgusting. They tasted like leather and were hard to chew. I ordered from there a few times before in a misguided attempt to find a dish that actually was good and it failed every time. Some bits and pieces were ok, but overall the food from Hallo Berlin was pretty disappointing. I would not recommend.

Pirogies were inedible, pickle was mush, potato pancake was unbelievably greasy (and only came with a thimble size dose of sour cream...And the order took 90 minutes to get here from about a block and a half away.

Food was pretty good, definitely on the pricier side but overall no complaints. Veggies were plain. Schnitzel was okay. Sausages/wursts were pretty decent. Definitely satisfied my german craving for the night.

Simply outstanding German food. This last time I had the Triple Soul Food mix with Pork Brat, Chicken Alpinewurst, and Beef Knock, and it was incredible. The potatoes, sauerkraut, and red cabbage are all fresh and tasty, never soggy or cheap. Pierogis are also top notch. I highly, highly recommend this place!

Pretty good. The wursts were well flavored. Stay away from the German Chocolate cake.

Real European comfort food.

The best sausage I have ever eaten. Toasted bun, sauerkraut, red cabbage, onions and a juicy thick Kielbasa sausage --- YUMMO! A little SPICY! They can teach Hillshire Farms a few new tricks.
