Very disappointed in Oden.. It is not the Oden I usually eat in Japan.. Totally different broth. No variety.. just Daikon and fishcakes. No boiled eggs, Konyaku nor Konbu.

Ordered sushi for pick up today from these guys and they give some really nice BIG fresh pieces. Can't believe how much people they had waiting for food. Kudos also to the chicken skewers, they were tasty and tender.

Everything is too salty! It all just tastes like salt and no flavor. The kim chee and edamame are good though.

Food showed up over 40 minutes late. This was after I called when it was still only 30 minutes late and was told the delivery was at the building. Upon arrival the food was cold and absolutely disastrous. I only ate some and proceeded to throw most out, but was still riddled with a stomach ache through the next morning.

Our entire office has ordered here for at least ten years. The food is always very good, although delivery times can be a little slow (Guessing they're really busy). Since we order so frequently I'm kinda hoping they change the menu a little. Anyway I've personally tried almost everything and can firmly say that everything is above average and really not terrible at all.

TERRIBLE SERVICE and TERRIBLE FOOD As a kicker how about super slow delivery and no english speaking restaurant personnel or delivery people. Food arrived cold and took more than 1 hour. I can't believe this place is 4 stars. How many fake reviews did they have to submit to get that rating.

Avoid this place!! Gave us the wrong drink, food was 1 hr late, and the chicken terriyaki was nothing but dark meat gristle! Looked like dog meat.

Ordered miso glazed salmon which was okay. It was served with Japanese pumpkin which was ice cold--half of it was literally still frozen!! The grilled asparagus was cold as well. I had the impression that the food was not fresh. Delivery service was okay, nothing to complain about.

When I first saw the store front, which was a walk down I thought what did I get myself into…. But this place is fantastic and extremely clean! I ordered Sushi to pick up, and was a little early so it wasn’t ready. The guy who greeted me first said let me buy you a drink while you wait, which I declined. Then he asked if I’d like to try the specials while I waited. SOLD… took him up on that. Mushroom chicken dish, where the chicken was falling off the bone, I think teriyaki beef that you almost didn’t have to chew and a spare rib. I left with my sushi almost full… The sushi was very fresh / delicious. Def a hit

food is pretty good, but delivery times are a crapshoot. sometimes its decently fast, but other times, i've waited over an hour and half. i especially like the japanese curry rice!

I really like hakata i would recomment it to all my friends.my platter was nice and the platter was in a nice design.my food was alos deliver fast.The crispy tuna rolls were nice and didnt fall apart even with the sushi rice.thanks hakata for the great food.

The food's average and the logistics are poor. The delivery guy called me and made me wait for 25 mins at the lobby. When I came back up 30 floors, he called me to come down again. I called up the restaurant and the lady did not even apologize. Not recommended.

This is the kind of restaurant that tries to have too many things on the menu and fails to deliver flavor in many of them. Mostly tasting very generic and flavorless - for example, katsu curry that they make have no japanese curry flavor, and it comes with just huge amount of rice which makes the whole thing look big. But portions are actually quite small for the money you pay. Service-wise, they took more than an hour to deliver my lunch today, and when I called they kept telling me that it had been delivered already. It actually came in when I was on the phone the second time with them. Why lie?

Japanese curry was not at all good and they gave a rather tiny amount too. The yakitoro was super tough. Delivery came within 30 to 45 min mark but I will never order again as the food is sub-par.

The order took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive. As this is not a top notch restaurant, this is unacceptable. Further, when I called the restaurant to tell them I would not be ordering again, they did not care.

Food is generally very good, although I've ordered from them once on what must have been an off night. Delivery is spotty and disorganized, though, so I usually don't chance delivey orders anymore. Sometimes they would come in a reasonable amount of time, other times, I've had to call after over an hour, and they sounded like they never received my order. Occasionally, they wouldn't have an item I ordered and would send me a substitute without consulting me first. It's better to dine in the restaurant.

Hakata is hit or miss...we've ordered from them several times. Somtimes its amazing and other times just mediocre. It's definitely the best sushi delivery we've had in the area. The spicy tuna hand rolls are always great and the kimchi is fantastic. Just stick to the basics and you should be pleased!

Bland. Soba with mixed vegetables very bitter and unappetizing, rolls lack that yummy flavor that comes with using real sushi rice. Decent fish, but as a whole wouldn't order again.

Wonderful Japanese, nothing adventurous. Grilled fish and negimaki are always dependable favorites for me. They've recently added little grilled yakitori skewers; haven't tried them yet, but they look tasty. Also a fun selection of Japanese snacks available (Pocky, anybody?)

The taste of the food is awesome, but as for the ramen, my last 2 orders, they basically gave me broth, noodles, and seaweed. This clearly wasn't what was advertised. There was no roast pork, etc. I could've gotten a better deal for 59 cents at the supermarket with instant ramen and a coffee cup.

We like this place. We love the lunch bento box. It was delicious and there are many choices of veggie to choose from. The package looks nice and clean. The delivery was not too long.

The suzuki don is awsome. I think the fish is very tasty. My order arrived within 30 mins and the food still hot. Sushi was also good. You should try their spicy sauce. I will order from them again.

The sea bass was greasy and disgusting!! The soba noodles it came with had a bland broth and not enough vegetables.I will never oder from here again! So disappointing.

I ordered food for lunch for a couple of people including myself. The oder came in a very nice package. The order did not take long to be delivered. My sake don was delicious and the portion is big enough to make me full and have some left for afternoon snack. My friend bento box is also pack in a cute package and all the side vegetable is unique and tasty.

They don't use sushi rice, so their sushi will break apart like sand in your mouth. Also, my kid had curry, and it was BY FAR THE WORST Japanese (or Indian--or Thai, for that matter) curry I have ever tasted. Powder-like and tasteless. This place clearly is neither Japanese owned nor Japanese operated.

Ordered obento lunch. The food arrived quite cold and I work only blocks from the restaurant. The 4 side items that come with the obento are very small. The most dissapointing was the tiny piece of lukewarm salmon that I paid $12 for.

Chicken skewer just not cooked....sushi raw = good, chicken raw = sick. Sushi pieces have huge gobs of wasabi under fish, not sure who likes that much wasabi, maybe they are hiding the taste of their fish. Can't believe that this place has 5 starts, total joke.

Ordered late night (10:30pm) and delievery was fast, food was great - sushi was fresh and cold, chicken teryaki was too hot to eat right away - so I really don't agree with the other reviews. I've always enjoyed the food here and was especially impressed at the fast late night delievery, if you're ordering lunch from anywhere in mid-town during lunch, of course the wait is going to be long!

I ordered from them last night, and I do not think they deserve five stars. I ordered sushi, that came tossed up, the shrimp tasted old. It look like they just threw it in the container. I also ordered the salmon, which came cold, and it did not taste good.

Although the california roll was bursting with avocado, the spicy tuna was bland and the tuna sushi had no flavor either. Additionally, the rolls kept falling apart, and the rice on the sushi also disintegrated as I would pick each piece up. I ordered from here because they had such a high food rating, but it is no better than any of the other sushi places on the list.
