At Grand Sichuan Chinese restaurants, they serve mainly the authentic (real, original or genuine) Sichuan food.
Sichuan food originated from Sichuan province in China and has a long history of more than two thousand years. Sichuan is an inland province in the southwest of China and far away from the sea. Geographically, it is a huge basin surrounded by high mountains. The subtropical climate is hot and humid. For thousands of years, agriculture was a major part of life. Under these circumstances, Sichuan food was formed.
At Grand Sichuan, they take pride in cooking with this history and culture always in mind. Cooking in a classic stir-fry manner and staying true to their Sichuan roots, Grand Sichuan allows you to take a trip through Chinese history by closing your eyes and experiencing all of the flavors they have to offer.

The food was absolutely tasteless and poorly cooked.

had the pork soup dumplings, which were excellent. stay away from the scallion pancakes. they were dried out. Also had the beef and broccoli, which was very good.

Authentic Sichuan cuisine, good ingedients, friendly service. Negative reviews must be from people who think General Tso's is chinese food.

The jumbo shrimp with garlic sauce came in a spicy garlic sauce with broccolli, black fungus mushrooms, carrots, bell and red peppers. The sauce was a bit hot for my taste, overpowering the shrimp. The chicken fried rice was very good. I would pass on the dry sauted string beans. They had a slightly "off" bitter taste to them. The delivery was fast and the food was still very hot when it arrived.

Unbelievable. Both sections of the menu (American and traditional Chinese) are excellent, and as someone who lived in China for a year, I can attest to the authenticity of the "traditional" half of the menu. The Mapodofu is the best I've had in Manhattan.

I'm not a huge fan of American-style Chinese food, but Grand Sichuan offers an array of non-American Chinese food as well as several American-Chinese dishes. Both selections are excellent. The heat level is not for the faint-of-heart, but it's wonderfully tempered with campor leaves and a balanced level of saltiness. My favorite items on the menu are the pumpkin and the duck. The delivery is usually fairly quick and the folks at the restaurant are nice.
