Ellen’s Stardust Diner serves up classic American diner cuisine, including chicken pot pie, Monte Cristo sandwiches and cheese burgers. A full service sit down ice cream bar features malts, milkshakes and sundaes as well as cocktails and adult shakes. This retro 1950’s-themed diner in the heart of New York’s Theatre District is also home of the World Famous Startdusters, the singing wait staff that covers a mix of oldies classics, Broadway show tunes and current pop songs. The motif features authentic 1956 Predicta televisions and a “drive-in theatre” screen, as well as walls covered with nostalgic memorabilia. They even have the world’s largest collection of “Miss Subways” - beauty queen posters that make for a fun time for kids and adults alike! This is a perfect place to dine before or after a show, or come on in just to catch the Startdusters at Ellen’s Stardust Diner.

First of all a simple breakfast order took 55 min. The food was totally cold when I received it and I live close to the restaurant. The food was simply awful !!!! I had the eggs benedict. The eggs (supposedly poached) were like rubber and the yolks actually HARD like a hard boiled egg. I don't even know what was in the hollandaise sauce which is usually yellow but in this case it was actually brown ! There was no resemblance to hollandaise what so ever ! This is the first time I've every written a review on Seamless web but I felt it necessary ! I actually had to throw the food out it was so bad and I'm actually easy to please!

Expensive price tag and food that's mediocre at best. Skip this restaurant and enjoy one of the (many) other better options in the area.

Food did not taste good. Most of the stuff was cold and the grilled cheese was soggy. But the onion rings were ok.
