Doyer’s was the very first Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown – they were established in 1980 and the original chef is still behind the main scene, cooking up fresh dishes such as the popular and fresh summer rolls with shrimp or beef or his authentic Vietnamese papaya salad.

At reasonable prices, expect your food in 30-45 minutes during prime lunch (1-2pm) or dinner (7-8pm) hours. If you can hold off for a little, you can expect your food in 20 to 30 min, they say. With a chef from Vietnam located right in the heart of Chinatown, Doyer’s is the place if you’re in the mood for authentic Vietnamese.

absolutely horrible. they noticeably put zero effort into my order. i ordered two separate pork chop dishes, and they lazily dumped 70% of the pork into one dish and 30% into the other. they didn't even include hot sauce with the dishes. i also ordered the grilled lemon grass chicken skewers appetizer. they were flavorless and ice cold. the delivery person acted like he was pissed off to deliver our food despite a generous tip. very disappointed.

The beef dice with onions over fried rice is the best! The only bad thing about this restaurant is the weird English names on the menu. Can I get some bun thit nuong? I don't know because nothing has its regular name! You have to just go through and try different things until you hit the dish you had in mind.

Always very very good, impeccably presented and delivered promptly. Try the shrimp satay - which is not on a stick, grilled pork over rice noodles, diced beef over rice, lemongrass chicken, vietnamese spring rolls, and fried wontons.

Maybe I am biased, but the Vietnamese was okay. Definitely not as authentic as I would like.

New Review: I don't know what happened between the time I wrote my old review but things are much better. The dessert drinks were delicious and the food on the whole ranged from good to very good. Kudos Doyers. Old Review: Received my order. Food wasnt bad but the pork spring rolls I ordered smelled like they went bad. My co-worker took a bite and almost vomited. The fish didnt smell fresh either. I received credit for the spring rolls but will NEVER order from here again. STAY AWAY.

The food is good, the delivery is horrible. Their delivery guy called from the lobby telling me to come down to pick up my food.

authentic flavor food but terrible attitude from the delivery guy.

The food wasn't that great and not worth the price we payed for. The most important thing is the delivery service. The delivery guy kept on screaming at us to tip him some more. That is the most ridiculous thing ever.

Everything was very good and arrived at the appropriate temperature. It took a few minutes longer than I hoped for the food to arrive, but it was well worth it.

Spring rolls were alright, but we've had better. Also ordered the chicken fried rice which was terribly prepared! They basically gave us lightly salted steamed rice with very small pieces of egg and hardly any chicken. Definitely not worth the price they were charging!

It took more than an hour to deliver. Appetizer was cold. Delivery person seemed to be angry at me for being late.... I did not understand that...

Flavorless and unappetizing mystery meat. Strongly recommend never ordering from this restaurant again.

Below-average food, and rude delivery person who demanded an extra tip. Overall, an unsatisfactory experience.

I do not recommend you order from here - the chicken salad I ordered had gone bad and I had to throw it away. The deliveryman was also unprofessional and asked for more tip even though i had already tipped 15%.

fresh and authentic. the delivery was fast - we ordered a whole fish and it was piping hot when it got here. not a fancy type place, but very wholesome and healthy and budget conscious. very worthwhile as there's not alot of genuine asian food in tribeca

Not an authentic Vietnamese place - a boring mix of mainstream Chinese with some unsure Vietnamese touches. Disappointing.

Took 2 hrs & they said " no big tip. no service" ,although I paid tips as web-site suggested. Ridiculously rude and the food was discusting. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM !!

This is one the best value place around, specially for lunch! The steamed veggies are deliciously healthy and full of flavor and the salmon slices and black bean sauce is very satisfying and yummy (beware of the chili though - but I love hot & spicy food). I also recommend the shrimp summer roll with its great dipping sauce. I love Doyers and delivery is excellent! Food always gets here hot and steamy!

I order vegetarian. Vegetable and Spring rolls were sizeable and tasty when warm. Vegetable dumpling and Spicy Tofu were very good. Delivered package kept the cold ice cream separated from the hot soup and both separate from the warm food.

the sauces were delicious. and the price was very affordable.

This place is okay, not the greatest vietnamese by any measure. I ordered the diced beef with fried rice and it was a little bit on the salty side. The spring rolls were good. I'd recommend this place if you're in the mood for "passable" vietnamese food that will deliver to you. If you're willing to make a trip to Chinatown, I'd go to another restaurant.

Good food, very fast delivery and everything was properly kept in separately containers. Soup and soup noodles were better than entrees, fried spring rolls were dry. The delivery person was very courteous, and provided all the extra condiments andutensils that I asked for. Try their exotic smoothies/ milk shakes!

I don't usually write reviews but the food from Doyer's was exceptionally bad. We got dry overcooked tastless meat. The vegetables were also bland and tasteless. I couldn't eat the stuff. I had to throw it away.

I wish they had omosas in their beef soups. Everything tasted excellent, especially their spring rolls.
