Curry and Curry prides itself not only on its history, eighteen years of being in the business (they opened their doors in 1990), but also its very low prices. Meticulously prepared, flavored and well-spiced dishes, along with prompt service and daily lunch specials, serve to set Curry and Curry apart from its Murray Hill brethren.
Under new management in 2008, Curry and Curry is not your average Indian restaurant.
Co-owners, husband and wife team Christopher Baretto and Chanda Vaz, along with chefs Baboo and Thapa, have brought their culinary expertise and service skills together to Curry and Curry to provide a mouth-tingling experience.
Chris and Chanda, originally of Bombay, India, developed their restaurant skills working at the Sheraton Hotel in Bombay and also managing Baluchi’s Indian Cuisine in New York for over ten years.
Chef Baboo, former chef and owner of Shree Punjab Restaurant, and Thapa, from the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, together combine to provide a perfect blend of Indian food ranging from Northern India to Kashmir.
Executive Chicken Lunch Box—Chicken curry, vegetable of the day, rice, naan and raita

I love this place!! Best curry in the area. Pleasant people also.

Warning/Attention At this restaurant not only chubby chicken and oily curry is on the meny, food-poisoness bacterias are included in the price for most of their dishes. My nine months pregnant wife was seriously food-poisined after having a chicken dish at this restaurant last weekend and we were seriously worried for her and the baby's health. In addition thanks to the food I spent two working-days in bed exhausted. I would recommend no one to order from this place, in case you don't have resistens stomack bacterias or care less of the taste of what you eat.

Raita was spoiled. Spinach had no flavor. Eggplant was too salty. And Muligatawny soup has chicken...vegetarians be ware.

One of worst Indian food I have ever had. Too much oil, No flavor for a curry. And when i called to talk to someone at the restaurant, whoever answered the phone was very rude and hang up, yeah, this NYC i understand courtesy is hard to come by, but if you are selling food and someone has problem you should at least pretend to listen. NEVER AM I ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN OR ANY RESTAURANT THE OWNERS AND THE CHEF WILL BE INVOLVED WITH.

Samosa Chaat was inedible...a soggy mush. Chicken Tikka Masala is delicious, although the lunch special is delivered in a tray in combination with the rice and is very messy.

The best Indian food I've had since moving to the US from the UK!!! This chef must be from Bradford or Brik Lane - Really its the best I've had!

it was ok. not that great. chicken was cooked fine and tasted decent, chick peas were pretty watery. i probably won't order this again.

This place is just awful. I ordered the "liked" chicken tika lunch special. I got a sad excuse for a meal - a half a cup of rice, 2 mediocre sides and 3 cubes of chicken, yes 3. The raita was sweet and sour (not in a good way) and the salad came in a baggy. Will never order from here again.

Very good.

I hate writing bad reviews, but even at this price I felt ripped off, because the meal was inedible. There was almost no meat on the lamb - just a rubbery, fatty, bony mess - and the fritters were dry and tasteless. The naan and rice were pretty standard.

generally good indian food. no complaints.

everything was really really good. i ordered a chicken tikka lunch special and a tandoori chicken dish. the sides were delish and the main dishes were very very tatey. i would DEFINITELY order from them again.

I wish there was a negative star policy. I ordered online and after 5 calls and 1 and a half hour after submitting the order, the dinner is still not here. Every time the response i get is the delivery boy already left. and the manager at the store is very rude and says he cannot help it and i have to deal with it.

mediocre indian food, subpar samosas and naan.

The lunch specials are a great deal, tons of food, great flavors. A little heavy and greasy but it's the PERFECT meal when youre in the mood for the sort of thing. I work in the West 30s, but I order here when I'm looking for great indian food.

This is the third time now, in a row, where my food has indeed come rather quickly. I think they may have read too many bad reviews here! I must confess my first order took an hour to arrive, but recently, things have changed. But enough on the delivery...the food. Why do I like this place? Huge quantities. And, for me, it tastes great. I'm no Indian food expert, but I know what I like (such as the 7th street dinner combo specials) and this food is a step above that fare. It's tasty, not over-the-top spicey, and, like I said...you get a lot. Occassionally there's some spill over, depending on how much in a hurry the delivery person is, but the Executive Lunches are really quite a deal. If you like Indian food flavors and aren't expecting major cuisine, this is a great place for lunch delivery.

Food was pretty good, but it took over 45 minutes for delivery, which was a bit disappointing.

don't know about the food yet, but they are already 30 minutes late with their delivery. They didn't call us to tell us, I had to call them...

Delivered the wrong order and would not provide a refund/discount when I called.

Delivery is slow, food is good but not great. The curry dishes hedge towards the creamy side of things, but I prefer it this way so I am perfectly happy with it. Worth ordering if you are especially in the mood for delivery indian food and not pressed for time; look elsewhere if you're more interested in high quality and/or speedy delivery.

Delivery took more than one hour (1:15) when confirmation email said 30-45 minutes. Food order was incorrect. Called restaurant which said they were going to send correct items within 30 minutes. It's now another 1:15 and nothing. I will never order from this restaurant again and they give a bad name to seamless web. 30 minutes later ---- Correct order NEVER arrived.

The food is fine, but every time I've ordered, they've screwed something up, forgetting to put something into the bag. In other words: Waste of money.

The food was very good, but delivery was SO SLOW! It took 90 minutes!

This was the worst Indian food I've ever ordered. The rice was overcooked/mushy, the sauce was sweet instead of the spicy I ordered, and it just wasn't very good.

Worst Indian food I've eaten in recent times. I ordered the fish curry and the red snapper had been frozen for so long that when it came it was as dry as beef jerky, it was hard to chew and it tasted like it was beginning to get spoilt. My instructions for the food were ignored, for example I requested extra peas and got no peas instead. Oh by the way the food got here one hour after I ordered... In summary, don't waste your time or money.

Food was okay, delivery time was awful. 30-40 minutes is what they say, but expect to wait more than an hour. The food isn't worth the delivery time.
