Serving the midtown area for many years has helped China Moon develop a reputation for delicious Thai and Chinese food. But don’t take their word for it, try it yourself!
Huge portions are always served hot and fresh at unbeatable prices. Whether you are having a quick lunch, leisurely dinner or ordering in on a cold night, China Moon will leave you full and wondering when you can order again.

Spicy Szechuan Crispy Shredded Beef—Crispy fried shredded beef in Szechuan spicy dry sauce, with crispy cellophane noodles as bedding
Tea Smoked Duck
Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables—Chinese broccoli, spinach, squash, asparagus and Chinese watercress
I usually don't grumble about food but please don't order Thai food from here. What was I thinking? It's China Moon so why did I order Thai from a Chinese restaurant? Never again. The Panang curry was tasteless. If you want Thai order from an authentic Thai restaurant. P.S. I've never ordered Chinese from here but if I were to guess it would be a lot better than the Thai.

Ordered the spicy pork dumplings and the filling was completely raw and uncooked. I also ordered the duck appetizer and it lacked flavor and was soggy with a disgusting BBQ sauce. The only decent dish I received was the basil fried rice which was fresh and flavorful

Well, funny story. Shortly after eating my house lo mein I got really sick. I'm not sure if this was coincidence but my guess is that it was not. I will not be ordering from China Moon anymore.

New management came in and the food has suffered. One person didn't finish her lunch and one other had a freakin' hair in his! eew. Will no longer order from what used to be one our favorite places.

Roast Duck lunch special was greasy; too much fatty meat and the veggie fried rice tasted like it was 2 days old

The food was about as bad as you can get. Greasy and bland, the food was terrible and I tossed it all. The other review for this restaurant must have been written by management because no one should ever have to eat here. In a city full of Chinese restaurants, find some place else to get your fried rice fix.

There is some information I want to share with people living in Mid-Town East. I ordered online from China Moon on 47th street last Sunday and my food came in sizzling hot and neatly packed just after 15 minutes. That was very fast and the food was extremely delicious. I had dinner with a friend there yesterday and found out that China Moon is under new management since June 25th. It seems it did a lot to improve both dinning environment and service (e.g. new chairs, new paintings. etc). The owner told me they are trying to keep the price at last year's level. That's why they offer $7.5 lunch specials and most entrees are under $10. Honestly, I think the price is a bargain in this neighborhood. With this new management, I'm quite happy with its service and food quality. I would definitly give China Moon a five star and wish those guys good luck.
