Inheriting the space and style of the 45th Street location's previous occupant, Bread from Beirut, Bread & Olive delivers all of the staples you’d expect from a café committed to the zesty flavors of the Middle East. Customers remark on the full, tangy flavors that result from the fresh preparation. Struggling with your choice? You can get a taste of everything with the Bread & Olive combo, which includes your choice of five different vegetable entrees. Everything is reasonably priced so that the big bites of savory hummus you’re taking won’t be accompanied by a big bite out of your wallet.

I never write reviews for seamless web or anywhere else, but felt compelled to for Bread and Olive. The food was absolutely horrible. My coworker and I order samboussek lahme, samboussek jibneh, and spinach pie. Everything was cold when it arrived. I don't recall the order taking any longer than the website stated, but the food was just inexplicably cold for whatever reason. This happens every once in awhile with take-out so I wasn't too upset, but the spinach pie is what turned the meal from bad to awful. It tasted like it was drenched in vinegar. Again, it was cold and the crust was nearly stale. If I had to guess, I'd say Bread and Olive doesn't receive many orders for the spinach pie. They probably just have a premade pie sitting under a cake bell in case someone is foolish enough to order it. It would explain the copious amounts of vinegar used to perserve it. FU, Bread and Olive. Never ordering from here again.

Did not have baklava (the only dessert on the menu except the fruit cup) at noon on Sunday and delivered food very slowly...more than 1 hour.

Chicken shawarma did not resemble shwarma. More like chopped pieces of chicken. Bits of skin and telltale feathers attached.

Their delivery used to be quick. Now orders take over an hour. Not sure what changed.

Not sure how good the food is because it has not arrived yet even though I ordered more than an hour and 15 mins ago. I called to check on it 40 mins ago, they said he left. I called back 10 mins ago and the said he just left. Long story short, not worth the wait.

Good food, but the pita bread was not very good. Very thin and didn't seem fresh.

I ordered chicken shawarma sandwich and hummus. The chicken was boiled, not roasted and sliced like shawarma. It was also very lemony and it had PICKLES in it. So gross. The hummus was not fresh, it was cold and kind of dry with way too much lemon in it. Really disappointing - I am in the mood for SHAWARMA like I ordered.

By far the best Mediterranean food in NYC!! And you can't beat the price. I highly recommend the chicken taok platter or sandwich.

Try the tabbouli, hummus, and lentil salad, as well as the zaatar with veggies - stay away from the falafel
