The chef stands ready to pile on the mushrooms and anchovies, or to tempt the truly distraught with a catalog of exotic variations—western pizza, chili pizza, beefburger pizza, and many more. Nick, the restaurant’s worldly wise owner, has seen everything: you needn't hesitate to confide your ultimate pizza fantasy, be it pizza with clam sauce or olives and feta cheese. A devoted pizza connoisseur himself, Nick may even suggest a few embellishments to make the moment perfect.
But this is not all! The pizza joint also specializes in Italian dinners, hero sandwiches, antipastos, and both Italian and Greek desserts. Choose from a wide variety options that can all be delivered to your door or enjoy your meal in the pizza joint's cozy dining room.

I wanted spaghetti w/ sausage, but it's not on the menu. Instead I ordered meat parmigiana (sausage) with linguine, and garlic bread for an extra $2. I live 16 blocks away. Delivery was 35 minutes, within advertised range. The food was barely warm. It tasted o.k., but nothing special. I've had better sausage. The garlic bread was very good. I'd probably order again and hope the food was a bit warmer.

Food ok, but service HORRIBLE. Order delivered late, there was no record of my order when I called, two items were missing from the order and the pizza was mangled. BEWARE--A REAL HEADACHE

Bad food, bad service.

the food delivered was almost uniformly awful - including the packaged piece of pound cake. my bbq chicken was tolerable - but all of the sides surrounding it were almost inedible. the corn on the cob WAS inedible - and such an easy thing to make. this was a great disappointment, especially since i have gotten food from the other big nick's and it was just fine.... but i won't be ordering from this one ever again.

After 5 yrs of living on the UWS, I don't think I've ever been disappointed despite ordering a full array of their items. Best pizza on the UWS, one of the best American cheeseburgers I've had in the city. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

The best 24-hour diner on the UWS, with lots of style points and a much longer menu than many other diners. Can't beat the hours. Only downside: service if you sit down is inconsistent and inattentive. It's not gourmet, but I've never had a bad entree at Big Nick's.

Best burgers and amazing menu

I order from this place when I'm hungry and don't want to try something new, or when my boyfriend and I want completely different things because we can always agree on Big Nick's. Just about everything I've tried from here is good. I love the baklava they sometimes include in the order. The veggie hot dog, and veggie burger are both really good. Solid place.

This was my first and probably only time ordering from Big Nick's. The delivery guy was really rude and smirky for no reason, and the food was cold and stale tasting. I had high hopes for my food and was highly disappointed.

Best vegetarian hotdogs ever!

Ordered the pizza and it was ok; could work in a pinch but there are better pizza places.

Ordered at 7:15 p.m on a Tuesday night. The expected delivery time was 15 - 30 min. At 8:15 I called to ask where my food was. The guy on the phone asks me "what's your address?" and I tell him, and he says "2 minutes. Very busy." Now it's 8:45 and I still haven't gotten anything. I've ordered from them before and their food isn't nearly worth the hassle.

Stick with the Greek specialties and you won't be disappointed - they're great. Order breakfast or something and beware. The last "omelette" I ordered was inedible. The grits came slopped all over it and the "avocado" was not in the omelette at all but rather in a separate container. As guacamole, which they charged me extra for (and didn't tell me they were doing till the delivery showed up) and which I can't eat anyway because I can't eat raw onions. Gross, gross, gross.

Food was delivered an hour and ten minutes late, cold and they got the order wrong. If you want hot food fast, think twice before ordering at dinner time.

Horrible food and service. We didn't receive part of our order, so we called in, they said they would send it. An hour later, it still hadn't arrived, so we called again, they said they guy left. 2 hours later, we called again and finally got the manager who said they guy must have gotten lost so he would make another one. We someone finally came, 2 and half hours later, the order was freezing cold. They wouldn't refund us. All of the food that did arrive was horrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Don't expect them to deliver everything you order - they messed up two orders in one day, and they refused to fix them!

We waited over an hour for our delivery and when we called in, were told that it was our fault for living so far away... Not impressed.

Food was ice cold upon arrival and tasted equally as bad. You don't make a chicken cheesesteak with two whole chicken breasts - absolutely disgusting. Would be wise to avoid this place

Most the food at Big Nick's is really good. The pizza however was not so great. I love their gazpacho and their pastitsio.

Big Nick's food, as always, was solid. But was definitely dissapointed that they forgot the Russian dressing and the Honey Mustard.

We have ordered from them numerous times and a couple of times they have delivered Tsasiki instead of Tartar sauce. The last time we called to complain, they tried to say that this is their version of Tartar. the food is generally good unless you order something that requires tartar...

Best burgers in the city -- probably the world, actually. The menu is 20-odd pages and has anything you could ever want in a diner. Ordering the food is so convenient, but you miss out on the glorious dive-y-ness of the place: the walls are covered with photos of obscure 'celebrities' and goddamn it's just a great place to eat!

Good food but they delivered me the wrong burger. The burgers are very basic, literally just the meat, bread and whatever else it says on the description. Dont expect lettuce & tomatos unless you upgrade to the deluxe

Always delish! Always fresh. Anything you want, they have. And they deliver all night!!

Well, I ordered a cheddar burger and it arrived sans cheese. It was pretty good, but $6.75 for some plain meat and a bun isn't my idea of cheap. I also got a side of fresh veggies, which was your standard steamed broc, caul, carrot and zuc. A little over cooked, no seasoning or anything. $4.50. Delivery was fast, but I'll probably stick to Harriet's Kitchen for my burger and side veggies.

Specified delivery time as 530pm as I work nights and wanted to eat before work. They delivered it around 1pm even though their receipt said 530. When the restaurant was called, the woman told me "Hmmm, I'll tell management" and hung up. Food was fine but more than subpar customer service.

Huge menu, great food, fast delivery. Tons of yummy veggie options. Great prices. Diner menu with food that is SO much better than diner food. French toast is AMAZING - I kid you not, it rivals Isabella's.

This place is slipping. I used to love it here, but lately, every time I order, something is wrong, or whole items are missing. Delivery takes much longer than 30-40 minutes (well over an hour just now, on a non-rainy Wednesday), and the guy handed me my food (minus an item, of course) with the container sideways, so it's a giant mess, and soggy to boot. Not ordering from here again.

it hits the spot, and it's quick and cheap, but it just isn't that tasty. still, for some reason, it's significantly better than the one on 71st st

During his childhood in Athens, an expensive item like meat was stretched as far as it would go and never eaten everyday. It was often a matter of only on Sunday instead of never on Sunday as it says in the song. Now, the foods of Greece and the Mediterranean have gained recognition because of their emphasis on vegetables, grains and fish, but back then, Nick’s mother, Artemis, would fix a large plate of string beans braised in tomato. To Little Nick, this was equal to filet mignon. Often, he spent a day with her in the garden watching her cook dishes that were praised by all. What he didn't know then was that he was beginning his life's work.
Nick’s mother's only property was a small part of an ancient olive grove on the island of Samos where she was born and raised. She received her "profits" in olives and oil—a high quality, delicate variety. When she bought other oil, Nick found her usually excellent food inedible. It was his first lesson in cooking—choose ingredients carefully.
The best Mediterranean food comes from a home kitchen, but it still has been Nick’s dream since he was a culinary student at New York City Technical College to present the essence of that cuisine in his own restaurant—his favorite dishes freshly cooked with fresh ingredients.
Nick’s mother told him to add one more thing when cooking a wonderful Greek meal—good feelings for the friends coming to eat! For the folks at Big Nick’s, that’s you!
