In October 2004, the Livanos Famili, owners of Oceana and Molyvos restaurants in midtown Manhattan, opened their seventh restaurant, Abboccato. Since opening, Abboccato has brought true Italian cuisine to the heart of Manhattan. The restaurant serves true and time-honored Italian recipes elevated through the talent and techniques of its chefs, and features a multitude of Italian products and ingredients.

For starters, Abboccato offers a tantalizing selection of small plates for sharing. Plentiful pasta fill out the primi piatti options and fresh lamb chops, fish, veal and many other options make up the savory secondi piatti list. Leading the culinary charge is chef and partner Jim Botsacos, who is also the chef and partner at Molyvos.
Abboccato also offers the lovely “Terrazza at Abboccato”, situated against 55th street’s bustling sidewalk. It provides a rustic yet chic hide-away, enhanced by deep colors, wine displays and iridescent gold curtains that frame the open doors that lead to the festive outdoor atmosphere.
For an authentic Italian dining experience that will please all of your senses with mouthwatering food and multiple dining room options, Abboccato is the only place that you can count on.

Yuck. The worst dining experience I've had in NYC. I paid $14 for a "sandwich" that turned out to be the size of half a quesadilla. It was barely palatable. I paid $10 for a "crispy" calamari salad that was not palatable (I took 2 bites and threw it away). All that after waiting an hour for them to deliver. The food was not worth even half of what I paid. Never again.

Estimated delivery was 15-30 min--in actuality took over 45 minutes. Even though the food was decent, I won't be ordering again

The food was over 40 minutes late, cold upon arrival, and the portion size was laughable, especially for that amount of money. Very disappointed.

Very small portion. A full size ravioli portion is 7 ravioli's ($20). It took 75 minutes to get my food, and my office is only two blocks away from the restaurant. My food was delivered cold.
