Mendy Merel has spent the past twenty-five years catering to the culinary needs of New York’s diverse Jewish population. Born in Israel, Mendy literally learned the trade in his mother’s kitchen, the center of any traditional Jewish home. And as Israel is the melting pot for so many different Jewish customs, Mendy quickly developed an affinity for the tastes and textures of them all. From Eastern European gefilte fish to Moroccan grilled meats—there was no cultural cuisine that Mendy didn’t taste and master before moving on to New York City.

Absolutely tastless food. What a disappointment. Small portions (did you ever get a pastrami sandwich that actually fit in your mouth, with room to spare?). Plus, they call you to come down to the lobby to pick up your food and there's no one there (they call when they leave the restaurant saying they're "downstairs"). Won't be ordering from there again.
