Mendy Merel has spent the past twenty-five years catering to the culinary needs of New York’s diverse Jewish population. Born in Israel, Mendy literally learned the trade in his mother’s kitchen, the center of any traditional Jewish home. And as Israel is the melting pot for so many different Jewish customs, Mendy quickly developed an affinity for the tastes and textures of them all. From Eastern European gefilte fish to Moroccan grilled meats—there was no cultural cuisine that Mendy didn’t taste and master before moving on to New York City.
Since then, New York and Mendy’s have become a winning combination like their pastrami on rye with cole slaw, mustard and a Dr. Brown’s soda. L’Chaim!

This sandwich was delicious. The service was speedy. I didn't even have to wait in in line. When I walked in the door I was asked my name and they handed me my bag. I was back to the office in a flash.

The food is actually good, but the portions are rediculously small and chintzy. I would prefer that they charge a dollar more and provide a sandwich that is of reasonable size.

I heard good things and saw good reviews but I have to say I am very disappointed. Food was late, pastrami was tough and chintzy in quantity, matzo ball soup had no flavor, cole slaw was bland, and hamatashen was stale. A big diasppointment Carnegie Deli still has the best pastrami and matzo ball soup so far with Artie's having the second best matzo ball soup.

They sent the wrong thing. I ordered fruit salad and they sent a bowl of chopped peppers, cucumbers and onions. Can you please credit our account for this error? Thanks.

The food is consistently fresh and well-presented. Delivery is the best of all the placed I've ordered from. And the few times there has been a problem with my order, management has been quick to correct it. Sure, it's not gourmet, but it isn't pretending to be. What it does, it does very well.
