I love this place. Best for really spicy Chinese food in midtown east.

Horrible!! - listened to reviews and ordered the tofu/pork dish that was completely inedible (took 2 bites and threw out)- other food all oily and not good, much better places nearby - even the egg drop soup had separated Plus - all special requests or instructions were completely ignored - did someone ever read the order? will NEVER order from here again

The ma po tofu was appropriately spicy but had a deep, sumptuous flavor. It would have been five stars if the pumpkin soup had goji berries like the 7th Ave location. I'm really looking forward to ordering from here again.

The food is fiery (depending on what you order) and authentic. My favourite Chinese restaurant in NYC north of Mott street.

Normally I don't rate restaurants, but I had to rate this one. Kung pao chicken has chicken, peanuts, and scallions in it. No carrots, no celery, like the dish that was delivered. And it was tasteless. The scallion pancakes were equally tasteless.

Having been to China many times, the food at this place is the closest you'll ever get to eating real Chinese food in China - everything is amazing, and they will make some of the spicier dishes more spicy if you ask. The service may seem rude compared to other americanized Chinese restaurants but trust me, they have a different manner thats all - their focus (and yours should be) is on the food. You'll find things (some sounds really wierd) on the menu that you will never see anywhere else, I have tried some of the more exotic dishes on the menu and they are all suprisingly good, they'll also very appreciate you being 'food brave' in trying them. The traditional american chinese food items are also great. I have been ordering from this place for the past 6 years and have never been disappointed. If you want Chinese food which is not youre regular mass produced American/Chinese food, then give Grand Sichuan a go!

Food is great but large office delivery are all mixed together and not name specified; can be frustrating when distributing

I'd give fewer stars if I could. This was the worst Chinese food I've had in NY--bar none. Even the rice was inedible.

Zero stars for the extremely rude delivery people, waiters, and counter persons. On account of principle, I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered from here tonight and it was awful. The food was salty and disappointing. My daughter's sesame chicken was just ok. I decided to order from here based on the other reviews, which was a mistake.

food was delicious. my only qualm was that they forgot my soda--not the first time. but other than that, beyond satisfying, and they are very generous with their portions.

great food and service. the quality of the food is consistent and i've never been disappointed. i've tried many many items on the menu and have yet to find one that I did not like. If you like spicy food, this is the place food for you.

Real Chinese food -- awesome -- try the shredded potatoes in vinegar sauce or the bitter melon.
