The owner of Ethos Restaurant in Murray Hill explains the translation of the Greek word “ethos” as keeping your word or maintaining honesty. For years, the restaurant believes they’ve maintained the idea of using the freshest ingredients (like Greek-imported oregano, thyme, and rosemary) with an emphasis on quality to produce authentic, light and healthy cuisine.
When the restaurant opened, the owners met with two elderly Greek descendants in their Astoria homes to borrow recipe ingredients and ideas in hopes of creating dishes that taste like your Greek grandmother made them.
Enjoy Ethos' authentic and fresh Greek cuisine at your next event. Ethos caters parties for up to 1,000 people and will host events in the restaurant for up to sixty-five people.

They always come later than the estimate says, but the food is well worth the wait! I've ordered Avgolemono Soup (lemon chicken soup), Fried Zucchini w/ Garic Dip (you have to love garlic for this one), Tsipoura (Porgy- this one is my favorite) & Lavraki (Stripped Bass) so far. Everything has been wonderful. They always give you plenty of bread. Servings have been always been large, so be prepared to share.

We ordered the Spanakotopia, Saganaki and Kotopoulo Souvlaki. The portions are large and great to share. The main dishes come with plenty of pita triangles and bread. They even threw in a Galaktosuriko dessert. My only complaint is that the food came luke warm - seems like the restaurants don't equip their delivery staff with the right bags to transport food in. I will choose to dine-in next time - the food is great.

the food came 1 hour and 15 minutes after the order when i was quoted 30 - 45 minutes. I called the restaurant and they said that the food had already left. when the food got here it was cold and all shoved to one side of the to go container. a bad experience overall and I didn't want to compain because I didn't want to wait another hour for warm food

Recently ordered from here and the chicken in the clay pot was terrible. Used to be so good. I used to order and go to the restaurant a lot, but that was about 1 year ago. seems to have gone downhill. I'll give it another try but not for a few months.

Very fast delivery, Food came in hot (very) with complimentary breads which were fresh, warm and excellent. Spanakopita was very good, crunchy with generous cheese and spinach farce but it was a bit too greasy for me. Unfortunately, there was no honey with the yogurt dessert BUT i got a complimentary Galaktosoriko. Both desserts were excellent. Will definitely order again and probably dine in too.

Food arrived over 1 hour early. The dish was stale and tasteless and really just wrong (Broccoli Rabe is not two steamed florets of broccoli!). Just a terrible experience.

Good traditional Greek hospitality and food. I was a little disappointed by the <strong>Moussaka</strong>, but everything else was pretty toothsome. Since the wait staff is Greek, it's also a good excuse for me to practice my Greek (and get many complements on my excellent pronunciation)!
