Canned vegetables are banned by Chef Swami, whose versatility allows him to cover such a spectrum of cuisines, all while tying it back to India. Chennai, deemed a sort of “heaven” for vegetarians, is unlike the usual run-of-the-mill North Indian restaurant. New customers have become regulars as the prices, starting at only seven dollars, along with the unique food, bring them back for more.

this is the only indian restaurant north of 30th street that I'll eat at. Lovely vegetarian indian food that tastes homemade. my favorites include any of the daal (lentil) dishes.

For south indian food in the US it was pretty good. The restaurant delivers on time and the food is warm and perfect as if you were eating at the restaurant.
