It’s truly a room with a view…and the food is top notch as well. Liberty View offers diners a chance to enjoy high quality Chinese cuisine while at the same time marveling at views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor. With a chef from Shanghai and menu of specials that rivals those in Chinatown, this Battery Park City outpost is a real find.
Check out Liberty View today and discover the great food just around the corner.
Steamed Juicy Buns—With crabmeat and pork; six pieces
Crispy Sea Bass—Served with chef’s special sauce
Diced Chicken—With cashew nuts in house sauce
Sliced Beef—With black mushrooms, bamboo shoots and snow peas
Shanghai Style Pan Fried Noodles—With chicken, shrimp, pork and mixed vegetables

Love this restaurant! Get the Steamed Pork Juicy Buns. Big dog friendly. Just do not order the food delivered to the chess tables along the esplanade.

I'm sorry - but this food is waaaaay overpriced and really not very good at all. The pork and crab buns were disgusting - I threw them away. Their food is really greasy and just not good - coupled with the price - I don't think it's a good choice for me anyway.

Get the pork and scallion dumplings. Good quality, great value, and they always deliver fast.

Fast delivery, but poor quality food.

Eaten here for the last few years. Some foods are best eaten at the restaurant instead of ordering out (for example juicy buns). Decent service and more authentic than the other Chinese restaurants in FiDi.

Don't expect your food to arrive based upon the lead time this restaurant advertises add an Hour, so if your hungry order from somewhere else

Bland and uninteresting. Slow delivery.

Always solid, stick to the house specials as opposed to the more Americanized fare.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area that delivers. Good quality ingredients. Authentic. Not greasy. Only complaint? The listed delivery times are ALWAYS inaccurate. It's very frustrating to see them list 30 minutes for delivery but then have the order appear at your doorstep 60-90 minutes later. For those of us with kids, this can be a huge inconvenience.

food is okay. The service is bad and rude... when there's something wrong with the order, don't think they should be so defensive and put up an attitude...

Food is acceptable, but recent price hike makes it a very poor value.

I have ordered from Liberty View a couple times and have even eaten at the restaurant a couple times as it is close to where I work. Unfortunately, I ordered from there tonight with my wife. We were just commenting on the fact that the food was good when my wife found "something weird" in her soup. We both spent about 10 minutes apiece look at the "something weird" under a light before determining that it was some sort of pupae bug. I would let it pass and not comment on it negatively, but it has happened to me at other Chinese restaurants, and I'm now fed up with the nastiness. I cannot recommend this restaurant because I think their cleanliness may be questionable. Thanks

First time order and it wasn't great. Spring rolls were the best of the lot, not greasy and a good, crisp shell. The cold sesame noodles were made with a broad, flat noodle that did not work at all as far as texture, and the sauce was thin and relatively flavorless. The juicy pork buns were simply gross, having an unnatural taste to them, these are not pork buns, btw, as much as they are dumplings. The dipping sauce with which they came was overly flavored with something distasteful. The house special crispy chicken was essentially a peking duck-style chicken - except the meat was a bit dry and the skin wasn't crispy. The sauce that came with it was, again, overly flavored in a way that made it inedible. I may have simply ordered wrong, particularly regarding entrees, but I'd be loathe to order from them again.

Prompt and reliable every time. Really good with substitutions.

They use tenderizer on the chicken which makes it taste terrible. The stewed pork has as much bone as meat.

Terrible food. The shrimp dumpling were acceptable but the beef and brocoli and pork buns were awful. Au Mandarin is a much better option.

Generally very good: spring rolls, spare ribs, steamed vegetable dishes. Soup dumplings good but don't always travel well. General Tso chicken doesn't travel well, gets mushy and tastes off. Pork buns have strong oily flavor. Sticky rice so-so.

Bland, tasteless, non-spicy "spicy double-cooked pork"; fried dumplings taste... also wrong, somehow.
