Above the bar at Kellari, the words "Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends" are printed on a placard. It is this feeling of warmth and Greek hospitality that pervades the entire experience at Kellari, an impossibly cozy Midtown gem, with wood-beamed cathedral ceilings and walls warmed in sunset hues.

Greek for "cellar," Kellari offers many Greek and international wines by the bottle and by the glass—ample choices for pairing up with an extensive menu of contemporary and traditional Greek fare. The philosophy is as easy as it is straightforward—use the best ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with flourish and joy.

Kellari has two private event areas that are decorated in the same style as the restaurant, with audiovisual capabilities. The rooms are open on one side to the dining room, which gives the feeling of being part of the restaurant while still dining in your own space.

The Chef recommends you try PSARIA, freshly caught whole fish, and grilled on charcoal. It is priced per pound after cleaning & scaling. We recommend approximately one pound per person. Fish vary by weight and availability is dependent on market conditions. Our chefs de-bone your fish unless otherwise instructed; allow twenty to thirty minutes to prepare.

Pink Snapper—(imported) New Zealand snapper

Plaki—Oven roasted Chilean sea bass with savory braised tomato, Vidalia onion and potatoes

Garides—Grilled Mexican Gulf shrimp with tomato-lemon confit, olive oil and saffron-spiced potatoes
