Chinese Mirch, true to its name (spicy Chinese in Hindi), celebrates the singular blend of wok style cooking with Indian herbs and spices. While this amalgam has been popular in India for centuries, chef and owner Vik Lulla is the first to bring it to Manhattan.
He blends Cantonese, Hakka and Szechuan styles together to capture the essence of this cuisine as you would taste it in the old and famed Chinese restaurants in the bustling shopping districts of Mumbai, Calcutta, South Delhi and Bangalore. Each dish is carefully prepared with the freshest of herbs and spices to create a distinctive flavor, sometimes bold and fiery, but always a gastronomic delight.

Chicken Dumpling Soup—Chicken consommé with chicken dumplings
Tellicherry Pepper Chicken—Shredded white meat stir fried with cracked black pepper pods
Hot Garlic Prawns—Tiger prawns in red chili and smoked garlic sauce
Crispy Szechuan Lamb—Twice cooked crispy meat, tossed with red and green chilies
Vegetable Ball Manchurian—Minced carrot, corn and green bean fritters tossed in a crushed onion, ginger, garlic and cilantro sauce
Chili Garlic Noodles—Soft lo mein noodles tossed in chili garlic paste with vegetables and either chicken, shrimp or no meat
They have by far the best indian chinese food. Chicken / lamb manchurian is great, chicken mirch is also very good. Every meal I ordered was cooked fresh, even the rice! Neat packaging is another plus. Highly recommended.

very disappointed with the food. the portions are tiny and way overpriced. couldn't believe a spent $25 on fatty gross chicken and bland, dry fried rice. save your money and appetite and eat elsewhere

Great food, but what happened to the lunch specials?

No rice with entrees? What kind of Chinese restaurant does not include rice with a dinner? Also, they make no mention that rice is not included! It kind of ruined the meal without it.

This Chinese-Indian blend is ridiculously good. It is not some made-up blend like Cuban-French or Peruvian-Slovak but a true type of food that combines the best of 2 great cuisines and actually exists for millions of people. It is my favorite style of food and I've tried most of them. Better than Thai (which I love) or Indian or Sri Lankan. It's amazing. Try It! I have no vested interest in this place except that i want it to stay in business through the upcomin depression.

Good Food, Spicy (if you like that), but the portions are definitely not big. I didn't even get rice with my main dish. Spent $23 and was still hungry

Food is really delicious but very spicy. Exceptional appetizer of crispy okra. Can't get enough of it! Basil fish entry is a great choice, the fish is really tender and delicious. You can adjust how much spice you would like by choosing mild option if you don't like it too spicy. Delivery is not consistent. Sometimes it's fast but sometimes it takes a while. They also have a history of not delivering everything. So you have to call them and they will bring back the missing items promptly. However, those are minor annoyances as the food is really wonderful.

Was really looking forward to ordering from here. The delivery time said 20-35 minutes and it took over an hour to get here! Not only that, but when it finally did get here, it wasn't good enough to justify the amount of time it took to get here. i don't think i'll be ordering from here again.

Amazing food and quick delivery! The food requires an acquired taste--not your typical Chinese or Indian food--hence the fusion. I highly recommend their Chicken 65 dish if you like that garlic taste. Their dishes are all so different and unique. Keeps my friends and I coming back over and ove again!

Very yummy food. Can't get enough. Portions are small but the food is well worth the money. Loves the okra, the Gobi, the Chicken lollipop, the chicken dishes and the hot garlic prawns. YummY!
