For years, the Abitino family has shared its love of authentic Italian food. Born and raised in Naples, Mario Abitino comes from a long line of Italians who believe that a great home-cooked meal can lift anyone's spirits. Nothing can make a person feel better than fine Italian food!

The continued success of the Abitino family could be credited to their delicious side dishes, such as the notorious pasta marinara. Made with fresh plum tomatoes sautéed to perfection in garlic and oil, it is easy to see how this scrumptious plate could be a favorite among customers. Perhaps it is Abitino’s legendary Margarita pie that puts them on the map. Crispy in all the right places, this mind-blowing pie is served with their infamous homemade tomato sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella, and drizzled with olive oil.
Whether you prefer pasta or pizza, there is no denying the fact that Abitino’s simply gets it right. Their pristine reputation keeps them at the top with their valued customers and allows for great accomplishments. Their continued dedication and hard work can only open the door to a bright, prosperous future for this family.

Having inherited the family’s recipes, Mario was motivated to make his dream of owning a pizza restaurant into a reality. In February of 1992 the family decided to open a pizzeria on 52nd Street and First Avenue in New York City. It was an instant success and in November of the same year, Abitino’s opened on 39th Street and Second Avenue. September 2004 brought bigger and better challenges—Abitino’s opened on 40th Street and Broadway in the heart of it all—Times Square! The family continued to strive for success by establishing two more locations—Bleecker Street in the West Village and 76th Street on Broadway. Still, Abitino’s is about to embark on its truest challenge yet—opening a location in the JFK airport in early 2007.

Atomic Wings was closed so we ordered from Abitino's. We were VERY happy with the quality of the wings. They are a little greasier than Atomic, but much tastier. We have been converted.

I've only had pizza at the restaurant, but it has always tasted good. I have never ordered the other dishes, so I can't comment on them.

Caprese salad bland, chicken wings soggy and lacking flavor. Tiramisu arrived FROZEN. Very let down.

Overpriced for the quality and quanitity that you get. Waited over an hour for a mediocre salad.

My order took an hour and a half to get to me. When I got the food, it was barely edible. I ordered the Chicken Francese and it tasted like it was at least a few days old and the chicken breading was not even held together. Not to mention, the food was not hot. I order from Abitino's on UWS all the time and the food is amazing. I will NEVER order from here again!

Great pizza, great side salads. Pizza always arrives hot and salads and sodas always arrive cold. Just don't forget to ask for plates, cups, and utensils- otherwise you won't get them. Two thumbs up for Abitino's!

Inconsistent. Had many bad experiences with stale seafood and pretty bad customer service.

For all the other options you have in the area, you shouldn't eat here. Libretto's is much better. This pizza arrived greasy and got worse as we ate. The sauce was too sweet and the crust was nearly soggy. I would strongly not recommend.

This is better than Mama's Homecookin', Sorry Mom. Undoubtedly, the Best Chicken Marsala & Ziti I had in years! Wow!
